The bottom four all won their matches as did none of the top five. This makes the last round very interesting with five teams fighting for the silverware and a place in Europe and five teams fighting against relegation. The only teams with nothing to play for are Viking, the champions, and Sogndal. Brief comments to some of the matches: Lyn lost a lead at home as usual and for the fourth time in five matches they conceided a goal within the last ten minutes of the game. When will they learn that a football-match lasts 90 minutes and not 80 or 75 !!! Strømsgodset hammered Rosenborg in the warm-up to the big Cup-final which takes place in two weeks time. Although Rosenborg had most of the chances they couldn't overcome the SIF goalkeeper Frode Olsen, who by the way is on loan from ,guess who ... yes Rosenborg. This vital win could however prove insignificant because all of the teams above SIF won as well. They still need to beat Brann next week to avoid the drop. The same goes for Fyllingen which after their heavy defeat in Madrid on Wed. came back with a good performance and sent Viking home with their third consecutive defeat. The other team from Bergen also got a vital and very suprise win away to Start. This was Brann's first win in Kristiansand for 17 years.... Two of the goals was scored by a former Start-player, now on loan to Brann, Sten Glenn Håberg. Next week Brann stadium will be almost sold out when Brann and Strømsgodset meet in a very important match to say the least. Lillestrøm , one of the favourites before the season started, suddenly find themselves in an outsider position for a place in Europe after spending most of the season in the lower regions of the table. This shows in my opinion how inconsistent the Norwegian league are compared to other leagues in Europe. Lack of stability is the keyword. In the last match Molde took a giant step towards safety with their 3-0 win against Kongsvinger, which still can end up in the play-off spot.
