Lillestrøm - Kongsvinger 1-0 (0-0) Att: 6.200 1-0 Tom Gulbrandsen (87) - The score should have been something like 3-2 or 4-3 not 'only' 1-0. A very entertaining match shown live on national TV. LSK won after dominating the first half but faded in the second. When everybody expected extra-time Gulbrandsen popped up and scored on a rebound from the excellent KIL-keeper Holtan. 30 seconds from time Kongsvinger should have equalised when a thunderous half-volley shot from topscorer Kaasa hit the underside of the crossbar. I guess the goal is still shaking. Rosenborg - Viking 2-1 (1-0) aet Att: 18.909 1-0 G.Sørloth (15) 1-1 S.Solberg (68) 2-1 Roar Strand (116) - Again Rosenborg have qualified themselves for another Cup-final at Ullevaal. This time it happened in dramatic (and lucky ...) fashion. After dominating the first half hour completely and getting the lead on a fine header by Sørloth, they let Viking into the match especially in the second half. The equaliser came as no surprise to the home crowd. The scorer was the shortest player on the field, Sander Solberg, a player who can go very far. The rest of normal time was pretty even with few clear chances. In extra-time RBK dominated the first 15 min., but after 5 min. of the second period Viking had a goal disallowed for offside. A mistake by the linesman according to the Viking players, and the TV-pictures did point in that direction although it was difficult to be 100% sure. Anyway 4 min. from time the sub Strand scored with a low shot inside the box after a cross by Dahlum which was only halfcleared by the defence. So we all avoided a replay and that was maybe the best since nobody could figure out when this replay should have taken place as both RBK and Viking have to play in Europe this month and have several players on the national team as well, a team which begins its WC-campaign on Wed. against San Marino and then take on the Netherlands on the 23rd of Sept.
