Lillestrøm - Kongsvinger 2-1 (1-0) Åråsen stadion Att: 2574 1-0 Ståle Solbakken (38) 1-1 Dag Riisnæs (73) 2-1 Arnfinn Engerbakk (o.g. 86) Yellow card: Kåre Ingebrigtsen, Lillestrøm, Christer Basma, Arnfinn Engerbakk, Geir Bakke, Bjørn Berg, Kongsvinger. - LSK put themselves firmly in the seat for the second place with a slightly lucky win. The match was very even and could have gone either way. It was decided when Johnsen's shot deflected off Engerbakk and into the open goal. Before that Solbakken had first scored with a shot from just outside the area after a bad clearence, and then Riisnæs equalised on a beautiful free header. Brann - Tromsø 1-1 (0-0) Brann stadion Att: 6454 0-1 Sigurd Rushfelt (57) 1-1 Geir Hasund (77) Yellow card: Bjørn Ludvigsen, Jonny Hansen, Tromsø, Lars Bakkerud, Magnus Johansson, Geirmund Brendesæther, Brann. - A very lacklustre affair. Brann are playing really bad at the moment, and TIL which should have something to play for weren't much better. The visitors took the lead when Rushfeldt received a long through-ball and scored with ease. Substitute Hasund equalised with a shoty range header off a corner. In the dying minutes Brann could easily had won the game, but missed a few sitters. Rosenborg - VIF Fotball 7-2 (3-2) Lerkendal stadion Att: 7979 0-1 Patric Karlsson (1) 1-1 Kent Bergersen (10) 2-1 Erik Hoftun (16) 2-2 Knut Aga jr. (25) 3-2 Harald Brattbakk (44) 4-2 Roar Strand (51) 5-2 Bent Skammelsrud (60) 6-2 Hoftun (63) 7-2 Øyvind Leonhardsen (65) Yellow card: Morten Kihle, Jan Erlend Kruse, Knut Aga jr., VIF Fotball, Harald Brattbakk, Rosenborg. Red card: Morten Kihle, VIF Fotball. - VIF showed no respect and took a surprise lead when Karlsson scored on a counter in the first minute. However, RBK came back strongly and went 2-1 in front, before VIF once more stunned the crowd with a goal. The most important incidents happended just before and just after the break. One minute from the break Brattbakk gave the home side the psychologically important lead, and a few minutes into the second half Kihle was sent off after his second yellow card. From then on, there was only one team on the field. VIF were completely outclassed, and RBK could easily have scored double figures. They settled for 7 though, and thereby not destroying VIF's good GD too much. Start - Hamarkameratene 4-0 (2-0) Kristiansand stadion Att: 3246 1-0 Petter Belsvik (pen. 17) 2-0 Tore André Dahlum (20) 3-0 Tore Løvland (71) 4-0 Erik Mykland (75) Yellow card: Petter Belsvik, Tommy Svindal Larsen, Start. - The home side were clearly the better side in this match between two teams with nothing but pride to play for. Two goals in each half settled the issue. The most noteworthy was a diving header(!) from Mykland, which was judged to be the goal of the round. Strømsgodset - Bodø/Glimt 0-2 (0-1) Marienlyst stadion Att: 2206 0-1 Ørjan Berg (17) 0-2 Runar Berg (57) Yellow card: Krister Isaksen, Thomas Røed, Strømsgodset, Charles Berstad, Andreas Evjen, Bodø/Glimt. - B/G, although tired after their CWC game on Thursday, lifted themselves out of the bottom three with this win, and at the same time probably sent SIF down. The main difference between the sides was that SIF didn't took their chances, whereas B/G did. Especially the three Berg-brothers were in good form. They all look more and more like their father, Harald 'Dutte' Berg. Viking - Sogndal 3-1 (2-1) Stavanger stadion Att: 6812 0-1 Bjørn Heidenstrøm (6) 1-1 Gøran Sørloth (21) 2-1 Sørloth (45) 3-1 Gunnar Aase (90) Yellow card: Asle Hillestad, Jarle Flo, Jan Halvor Halvorsen, Sogndal. - Sogndal took a surprise lead when Heidenstrøm headed in Flo's cross. However, Viking came back, and Sørloth scored both his first and second goal for the club after his return form Turkey and Bursaspor. Despite some Sogndal pressure in the second half, Viking went two goals in front in the last minute when Aase was sent clean through with only the goalkeeper to beat. The situation looks bad for the visitors, especially since two of their three remaining matches are away from home, and also because of their bad goal difference. In contrast, both VIF and B/G have two home games left and also a much superior GD. Viking are now third, and undefeated since the WC. Silverware is in prospect for the team from Stavanger.
