Start - Viking 2-1 (1-1)
Kristiansand stadion
Att: 5113
0-1 Gunnar Aase (18)
1-1 Petter Belsvik (26)
2-1 Erik Mykland (84)
Yellow card: Frode Olsen, Tore Løvland, Start.

- In front of the live TV cameras, Start won their first match of the
season, after a late goal by Mykland settled the game. A draw would
probably have been a fairer reflection of the game, because Viking
created more opportunities than Start, especially in the second half.
Mykland's goal was Start's _only_ opportunity in that half.

Bodø/Glimt - Tromsø 0-3 (0-1)
Aspmyra stadion
Att: 4535
0-1 Sigurd Rushfeldt (43)
0-2 Morten Pedersen (pen. 58)
0-3 Rushfeldt (81)
Yellow card: Charles Berstad, Bodø/Glimt, Svein Are Andrassen,
Arne Vidar Moen, Tromsø.

- Tromsø and in particular Sigurd Rushfeldt is best in the North.
This conclusion can be drawn based on the game in Bodø. Rushfeldt was
the man behind all three goals, scoring two himself and being the
man tackled in the penalty incident. He must now be (another) strong
candidate for one of the vacant attacking spots in the WC squad.
B/G is not the same team we saw last year. Their defense is weaker and
so is their attack. In this match they had posession for long spells,
  but no penetration up front.

Hamarkameratene - VIF Fotball 0-0
Briskeby gressbane
Att: 3530
Yellow card: Ronny Pedersen, Hamarkameratene, Morten Kihle, Jan Erlend
Kruse, VIF Fotball.

- Neither team deserved more than a draw, in this dull encouter.
Hamkam for missing several good opportunities (not the first time this
year....) and VIF for creating just too little. Note that VIF still has
the best defense in the country. Only one goal has passed keeper Krogstad.
Not bad for a team whose defense was ranked as the _worst_ in the division.

Kongsvinger - Rosenborg 1-2 (0-1)
Gjemselund stadion
Att: 6240
0-1 Karl-Petter Løken (35)
1-1 Arnfinn Engerbakk (69)
1-2 Øyvind Leonhardsen (90)
Yellow card: Vidar Riseth, Arnfinn Engerbakk, Christer Basma,
Kongsvinger.

- In the big game of the day, Rosenborg left it late, but deservedly
won 2-1 against KIL. Rosenborg dominated the first half, but scored
only once on a header from Løken. In the second, KIL equalised when Frigård
set up Engerbakk in the area. The game was more even in this half, although
RBK was still on top. In injury time Leonhardsen got the winner after
  a good through-ball.

Lillestrøm - Strømsgodset 3-1 (0-0)
Åråsen stadion
Att: 7591
1-0 Anders Jacobsen (56)
2-0 Ståle Solbakken (59)
2-1 Frode Johannessen (62)
3-1 Mons Ivar Mjelde (83)
Yellow card: Vegard Hansen, Ousman Nyan, Strømsgodset.

- Another team which got their first win of the season was Lillestrøm.
After a dismal first half, the home side really dominating the second and
scored three excellent goals. A strong header (Jacobsen), a nice tap-in
(Solbakken) and a wonderful half-volley from just outside the area (Mjelde).
Strømsgodset could only reply through defender Johannessen, accidently
his 3rd goal of the season ! Not bad for a central defender and for
a man who IMHO must technically be the less gifted premier division player.

After the game it was confirmed that striker Mons Ivar Mjelde has signed
a contract with Austria Wien, starting from July 1st. Good luck to him
  as a professional !

Sogndal - Brann 2-4 (2-1)
Fosshaugane stadion
Att: 5148
1-0 Håvard Flo (8)
1-1 Magnus Johansson (32)
2-1 Tore André Flo (44)
2-2 Inge Ludvigsen (57)
2-3 Frank Strandli (81)
2-4 Trond Egil Soltvedt (85)
Yellow card: Bent Apneseth, André Ulla, Håvard Flo, Sogndal,
Roger Helland, Brann.

- Brann maintained their lead on the table, after a good away win in
Sogndal. For the home side this is very much like a local derby, although
Bergen and Sogndal are quite far apart (even in different counties (fylker)).
Sogndal took a surprise lead in the first half, but in the second it was
all Brann. Their attacking duo of Soltvedt and Strandli proved dangerous
yet again, scoring one goal each. Soltvedt even missed a penalty in the first
  half.
