Rosenborg - Brann 9-0 (3-0) Lerkendal stadion Att: 8788 1-0 Roar Strand (5) 2-0 Harald Brattbakk (15) 3-0 Brattbakk (34) 4-0 Kent Bergersen (pen. 58) 5-0 Brattbakk (60) 6-0 Bergersen (76) 7-0 Kjell Roar Kaasa (79) 8-0 Ronny Støbakk (81) 9-0 Kaasa (84) Yellow card: Trond Egil Soltvedt, Trond Nordeide, Brann. The winning formation last night, which is also pretty identical with the line-up in most of RBK's other matches this season (Mini excepted:-)): Rosenborg (4-3-3): Ola By Rise - Bjørn Tore Kvarme, Erik Hoftun, Bjørn Otto Bragstad, Ståle Stensaas - Roar Strand (Ronny Støbakk from 67.), Bent Skammelsrud, Øyvind Leonhardsen - Karl-Petter Løken (Kjell Roar Kaasa from 55.), Harald Brattbakk, Kent Bergersen. Of politeness, no Brann line-up is presented....:-) - Before the game RBK knew that only a win would ensure them of the title. And a win they certainly achieved! The game was convincing from start to finish, and was described by coach Eggen as the best match RBK has ever played under his 5 years in charge at Lerkendal. I watched the highlights on TV, and some of the football was real classy stuff. Silky one-touch football all the way. Some of the goals were very good too. Especially Bergersen's flip over the Brann keeper and into his left corner was superb. As a matter of fact, Brann weren't _that_ bad either, but they seem to have a habit of losing heavily when it doesn't matter (remember 3-7 against Lyn last season). It still says a lot when the Brann keeper and the two central defenders were the visitors' best players! RBK could easily have reached double figures. They had 21 clear chances and scored 'only' 9 goals, which of course is still pretty effective. This was RBK's third championship in a row, and that in a season when they were expected to be heavily challenged. Instead, it turns out to be the most impressive champion-winning season of them all. Congratulations to Rosenborg!
