Rosenborg - Lillestrøm 2-1 (2-1) Lerkendal Att: 4985 0-1 Geir Frigård (4) 1-1 Harald Brattbakk (13) 2-1 Brattbakk (27) Yellow card: Kåre Ingebrigtsen, Lillestrøm. - Sloppy game, which was shown live on TV. Neither side played well, and a draw would perhaps have been a fair result, but yet again RBK ran out as winners. They have to play better to beat Blackburn on Wednesdat, though. Bodø/Glimt - Hødd 4-0 (1-0) Aspmyra Att: 3889 1-0 Aasmund Bjørkan (23) 2-0 Stig Johansen (47) 3-0 Johansen (61) 4-0 Ørjan Berg (71) Red card: Hans Jørgen Brandal, Hødd. Yellow card: Ørjan Berg, Bodø/Glimt, Even Blakstad, Hødd. - B/G completely outplayed the cup semifinalists, and advanced to the third place in the table. With this form they are a safe bet for the bronze medals. Hødd, on the other hand, are facing an uphill task, which wasn't made any better whey got defende Brandal sent off in the second half. He will of course serve a one game suspension. Kongsvinger - Stabæk 0-0 Gjemselund Att: 2492 Yellow card: Arnfinn Engerbakk, Ole Einar Martinsen, Kongsvinger, Andreas Mayer, Anders Nordstad, Stabæk. - The less said about this game the better. No chances, no good play and no goals. Molde - Hamarkameratene 3-2 (1-0) Molde stadion Att: 2228 1-0 Ole Bjørn Sundgot (15) 2-0 Arild Stavrum (pen. 71) 3-0 Daniel Berg Hestad (73) 3-1 Leif Nordli (78) 3-2 Nordli (88) Yellow card: Vegard Skogheim, Hamarkameratene. - The situation is getting critical for Ham-Kam after yet another defeat. However, for large spells they had more of the play than the home side, but as usual, the Molde forwards were much sharper in front of goals. The other good news for the home side was the announcement of a new 14000-all seater stadium to be ready for the 1997 season, thanks to the money machines behind Molde, Røkke and Gjelsten. Start - Tromsø 2-1 (0-1) Kristiansand stadion Att: 2205 0-1 Tore Andre Flo (1) 1-1 Petter Belsvik (48) 2-1 Belsvik (pen. 59) Yellow card: Per Egil Swift, Tromsø. - An extremely important home win for Start, which lifts them away from the immediate danger of being relegated. However, for TIL, the relegation zone is getting closer and closer. They should save themselves though, as they have experience from such situations before. VIF Fotball - Strindheim 9-2 (4-0) Ullevaal Att: 3006 1-0 Kenneth Nysæther (2) 2-0 Knut Aga jr. (8) 3-0 Kent Bergersen (24) 4-0 Nysæther (30) 5-0 Jan Erlend Kruse (49) 5-1 Terje Høsøien (pen. 51) 6-1 Nysæther (58) 7-1 Espen Haug (pen. 60) 8-1 Nysæther (61) 9-1 Nysæther (70) 9-2 Ronny Støbakk (85) - When I turned up at Ullevaal on Sunday I expected a high scoring game as Strindheim had been involved in 18 goals in their last two games, and a a high scoring game is what I got. Helped by two early goals VIF completely trasked the visitors, and if it hadn't been for a lack of concentration in the last 15 minutes, the scoreline would have reach double figures with ease. Strindheim were unbelieveably poor, and fell apart alreday after the first ten minutes. On this performance, it can be no question what so ever that they don't belong in the top flight. In the second half I actually started feeling pity for them, as some of the goals they conceded were very soft. VIF played very well and managed to keep concentrated for 75 minutes, which was quite an achievement considering the opposition. They are now one of the contendors for the bronze medals and the second UEFA Cup place. In the end, they might lose out on the two point they have been deducted.
