Start - VIF Fotball 0-1 (0-1) Kristiansand stadion Att: 9265 0-1 Espen Haug (7) Yellow card: Helge Bjønsaas, Start, Ståle Andersen, Tore Krogstad, Håvard Lunde, VIF Fotball. - VIF got three more points, but hardly any new supporters with this performance. After taking an early lead, they just sat back and defended for the rest of the game. Something, which wasn't that difficult giving the inept display from the home players. Viking - Strindheim 2-1 (1-0) Stavanger stadion Att: 12 416 1-0 Sander Solberg (20) 2-0 Egil Østenstad (60) 2-1 Lars Grevskott (80) - The expected trashing of Strindheim didn't happen. Instead, the visitors defended well and went forward on several occations. However, Viking was the better side, and the win was unquestionable. Only minor incident was an invation of the field from a couple of teeenagers ("russ" in Norwegian) during play. Kongsvinger - Hamarkameratene 4-1 (0-0) Gjemselund stadion Att: 2350 1-0 Ole Einar Martinsen (60) 2-0 Vidar Riseth (pen. 66) 3-0 Arnfinn Engerbakk (74) 4-0 Jørn Karlsrud (79) 4-1 Iver Sletten (84) - In the battle of Hedemark the home side went out as winners. They also scored twice as many goals in this game alone, than in all their previous five. The match was decided when the referee awarded a penalty to KIL after the ball (alledgly) hit one of the Hamkam defenders. This decision was highly diputed by the visitors. Brann - Lillestrøm 1-1 (0-0) Brann stadion Att: 14 068 0-1 Arne Sandstø (63) 1-1 Frank Strandli (86) Yellow card: Eivind Karlsbakk, Cato Guntveit, Brann, Ståle Solbakken, Lillestrøm. - Brann got a vital point in a game they should have won. LSK can now forget everything about any title aspirations for a while, and instead concentrate on winning games. They took the lead on their only good effort of the game, and held it until four minutes from the end. Then, out-of-favour striker Strandli scored the equalizer. Note that Frode Grodås, the national goalkeeper was injured and had to be replace by Jon Knutsen. The seriousness of the injury is not known yet. Bodø/Glimt - Tromsø 1-2 (1-2) Aspmyra stadion Att: 5798 0-1 Sigurd Rushfeldt (9) 0-2 Thomas Hafstad (26) 1-2 Stig Johansen (35) Yellow card: Runar Berg, Bodø/Glimt, Ole Martin Årst, Bjørn Ludvigsen, Tromsø. Red card: Stian Larsen, Tromsø. - The battle of Northern Norway saw 'gutan' run away with all the points. However, the major talking point was an incident involving the TIL coach and B/G physiotherapist. The ball had gone out of play, and the B/G official was running after it to get it fast into play again (after all they were trailing). On his way, he seemed to run into the TIL coach Aabrekk from behind. The latter went to the ground, and had to be stretched off seemingly unconcious. However, the home crowd felt it was all good old play-acting from the coach. After the game, Aabrekk refused to comment on the episode, and now everybody is awaiting the report of the referee. Rosenborg - Stabæk 5-2 (2-1) Lerkendal stadion Att: 17 106 0-1 Christian Holter (21) 1-1 Harald Brattbakk (33) 2-1 Karl-Petter Løken (43) 2-2 Bjørn Viljugrein (46) 3-2 Bjørn Otto Bragstad (58) 4-2 Brattbakk (71) 5-2 Steffen Iversen (81) Yellow card: Tom Kåre Staurvik, Rosenborg, Christer Basma, Stabæk. - The champions won clearly in the end, but they had to fight for it much more than expected. The newcomers were eveb better in the first half, but tired in the second. In this match Steffen Iversen scored his first league goal for RBK. Now, he only needs to score 157 more to equal the record held by his father, legendary Odd Iversen. Molde - Hødd 7-2 (5-0) Molde stadion Att: 7300 1-0 Arild Stavrum (15) 2-0 Ole Gunnar Solskjær (22) 3-0 Arild Stavrum (24) 4-0 Ole Gunnar Solskjær (26) 5-0 Ole Bjørn Sundgot (34) 6-0 Ole Gunnar Solskjær (52) 7-0 Arild Stavrum (61) 7-1 Tommy Sylte (62) 7-2 Andre Nevstad (77) - Molde continue to impress, and played some brilliant and efficient football for the first hour, totally outclassing their local rivals. Ole Gunnar Solskjær scored another hat-trick, and has now scored 10 goals in 6 matches. This man must be one of the greatest forward talents in Norwegian football for ages! He is still only 21, and this is his first season in the premier division, after playing in the second last year.
