Match report ------------ This time I'm not able to give a full match report as I didn't watch the game, despite it being shown live on TV2 :-( However, the scoreline really says it all. Norway were completely superior throughout the 90 minutes, and Estonia were on level with San Marino and the Faroe Islands. For the first time since the Holland game in 1992, Norway played with a 3-5-2 system. The reason was that this system will probably be used against Malta and Luxembourg in the forthcoming WC qualifiers. Unfortunately, Estonia were so weak, that the game was useless as an evaluation of the system. A more definite answer will be given after the Cyprus game on Wednesday. Of the players, Brattbakk made his debut by scoring twice, but should have had a couple more. Bohinen was man-of-the-match, and Solbakken also had a good game. Line-up against Cyprus ---------------------- 1 Frode Grodås (Lillestrøm) - 4 Henning Berg (Blackburn), 3 Ronny Johnsen (Lillestrøm), 5 Roger Nilsen (Sheffield U.) - 6 Jostein Flo (Sheffield U.), 7 Erik Mykland (Utrecht), 2 Ståle Solbakken (Lillestrøm), 8 Øyvind Leonhardsen (Wimbledon), 11 Jahn Ivar Jakobsen (Rosenborg) - 10 Sigurd Rushfeldt (Tromsø), 9 Jan Åge Fjørtoft (Swindon). Substitutes: 12 Erik Thorstvedt (Tottenham), 20 Frode Olsen (Start), 13 Gunnar Halle (Oldham), 14 Alf-Inge Håland (Nottingham), 15 Runar Berg (Bodø/Glimt), 16 Lars Bohinen (Nottingham), 17 Harald Brattbakk (Rosenborg). Thus, of the players that started againts Estonia, only Johnsen, Nilsen, Solbakken, Mini and Rushfeldt will start against Cyprus too.
