Match report
------------
An embarassing display by Norway in the first game of the Australia
tournament, and the result was a very deserved defeat against the
quick South Koreans. Norway played with virtually a B-team, more or
less made up of home players. Four debutants were in the starting
line-up, and three more entered as subs during the game. Additionally
the team had only had three days to aclimatize to the change in
time zone. All this were factors which made this game a very boring
display of football. The passing was inaccurate, the moving inextistent
and the fighting spirit dead. Still, Norway were denied an unjustified
equalizer when Eggen headed home 10 minutes from time, only to
discover that the Korean-friendly Australian referee had blown his
whistle for something only he spotted. Let's hope for an improvement
in the Wednesday game against New Zealand, otherwise this tournament
will become as unnecessary and disasterous as some had predicted before
the tour started.
