Haugesund - Stabæk 0-1 (0-0) Att: 2550 0-1 Martin Andresen (86) - FKH created very little in front of goal, and deservedly lost against a Stabæk side, which didn't play that well either. Lillestrøm - Brann 1-1 (0-0) Att: 3209 0-1 Raymond Kvisvik (77) 1-1 Arne Vidar Moen (o.g. 81) Yellow card: Arild Sundgot, Ole Einar Martinsen, Peter Werni, Magnus Kihlberg, Lillestrøm, Jan Ove Pedersen, Roy Wassberg, Brann. - The fist win of the season still eludes Brann, despite bringing in new players for over 7 million Nkr during the WC break. One of them, Kvisvik, gave them the lead, but an unfortunate own goal by Moen, who unintentionally blocked a clearance from Brendesæther, gave the home team a deserved point. Rosenborg - Molde 1-2 (1-0) Att: 16.061 1-0 Jahn Ivar Jakobsen (34) 1-1 Andreas Lund (60) 1-2 Lund (77) Yellow card: Runar Berg, Bjørn Otto Bragstad, Rosenborg. - The clash of the titans at Lerkendal ended with a surprise away win. Molde took their chances very well, and big hero was Lund who scored both the goals. The first on a direct freekick, the second on an easy tap-in. Despite dominating posession, RBK lost at home in the league for the first time since 1994(!), as they were unusually inefficient in front of goals. This win gives Molde the edge in the championship race, but except Rosenborg to fight back. The fall promises to be very interesting. Strømsgodset - Moss 2-0 (1-0) Att: 3309 1-0 Rune Hagen (5) 2-0 Jostein Flo (52) Yellow card: Thomas Wæhler, Strømsgodset, Jerry Månsson, Moss. Red card: Månsson, Moss. - An easy home win for SIF against a poor Moss side. WC player Jostein Flo scored the second goal with a well-placed header. Tromsø - Kongsvinger 3-0 (1-0) Att: 2235 1-0 Tryggvi Gudmundsson (44) 2-0 Bjørn Johansen (60) 3-0 Rune Lange (67) Yellow card: Jan Egil Brekke, Tromsø, Charles Berstad, Abdul-Karim Ahmed, Kongsvinger. Red card: Ahmed, Kongsvinger. - TIL dominated completely, and the winning margin could easily have been larger. KIL, with many players out because of injury, had advanced in the Intertoto Cup in the weekend, but found out that Ebbw Vale is a much easier opponent than the Northeners. Viking - Bodø/Glimt 1-1 (0-1) Att: 4699 0-1 Odd Arne Espevoll (o.g. 36) 1-1 Magnus Svensson (84) Yellow card: Lee Robertson, Bodø/Glimt. - A surprise in Stavanger, as the home team could only draw against B/G. In fact, the visitors could easily have taken all three points, as they had the better chances throughout the game, and hit the post twice. Vålerenga - Sogndal 4-0 (4-0) Att: 3331 1-0 Kjell Roar Kaasa (1) 2-0 Bjørn Viljugrein (7) 3-0 Viljugrein (30) 4-0 Viljugrein (32) Yellow card: Jarle Flo, Trevor Morley, Sogndal. - For the first time this season, VIF managed to keep a clean sheet. The introduction of Tran from KIL saw to that. When, Viljugrein had one of his best days in front of goal, the home win was inevitable. Kaasa gave VIF an early lead, before Viljugrein started his hat-trick show. First, he ran on to a through ball, then he scored a screamer of a freekick from 20 metres, before completing his field day with a direct volley from just inside the area. However, the attendance figure was disappointing, as only just over 3.000 showed up. Though it must be said, that Bislett was not the only arena with unusually low attendance figures, which must certainly be contributed to the WC TV coverage in the preceeding weeks.
