Bodø/Glimt - Viking 3-1 (1-0) Aspmyra stadion Att: 3113 1-0 Tommy Bergersen (pen. 32) 2-0 Arild Berg (57) 2-1 Vegard Skogheim (61) 3-1 Helge Aune (90) - A fourth defeat on the trot for Viking, which effectively eliminates them from the bronze medal race. Instead, they should be watching their backs as B/G are only four points away from the last automatic UEFA Cup place (now that Stabæk and Rosenborg meet in the cup final). Based on current form the team from Stavanger can easily be passed. Kongsvinger - Tromsø 2-1 (1-0) Gjemselund stadion Att: 1914 1-0 Julian Jonsson (3) 2-0 Eirik Dybendal (49) 2-1 Rune Lange (85) Yellow card: Jon Inge Høiland, Marius Gullerud, Kongsvinger, Stein Berg Johansen, Tromsø. - Three extremely vital points for KIL in their fight against relegation. Now, they find themselves only two points behind Moss and Strømsgodset, an with the latter in their nex game, everything is in their own hands. TIL must also watch their backs, if they want to avoid a repeat of last season, when a dismal form in the last games meant they had to play-off to stay up. Sogndal - Vålerenga 1-3 (1-0) Fosshaugane stadion Att: 1886 1-0 Bjørn Tore Hansen (2) 1-1 Espen Haug (71) 1-2 Jon Eirik Ødegaard (88) 1-3 Kjell Roar Kaasa (90) Yellow card: Asle Hillestad, Eirik Bakke, Ole Hjelmhaug, Sogndal. - This win effectively sent Sogndal back to the first division, and could mean survival for Vålerenga. Hero once more was Ødegaard with another cracking goal, again after coming on as a substitute. Since Drillo took charge of the Oslo club, the record shows five wins in six matches. Quite incredible. Now, Vålerenga face Rosenborg away in the next game. Could a surprise be on the cards? Stabæk - Haugesund 1-1 (0-0) Naddderud stadion Att: 2016 1-0 Jesper Jansson (65) 1-1 Rune Lothe (75) Yellow card: Morten Berre, Haugesund. - A lackluster home performance allowed FKH to gain one point, which could easily had been three as the visitors missed some quality chances in the second half. Stabæk would have had a decent shot at the silver medals with a win, but must now be content with the bronze. Brann - Lillestrøm 1-2 (0-1) Brann stadion Att: 8839 0-1 Leif Gunnar Smerud (16) 0-2 Arild Sundgot (58) 1-2 Kjetil Løvvik (72) Yellow card: Arild Sundgot, Lillestrøm. - Another surprise win by LSK, which surely must be the most improved team of the season. After a disasterous start, they have floated around in a secure mid-table position for most of the season, a good distance from the expected struggle against relegation. Brann, and especially keeper Westad, had a bad day, and still need a couple of more points to be sure of premier divison football in Bergen in 1999. Molde - Rosenborg 0-2 (0-0) Molde stadion Att: 13.308 0-1 Roar Strand (67) 0-2 Tore André Dahlum (87) Yellow card: Daniel Berg Hestad, Molde, Jan Ivar Jakobsen, Bent Skammelsrud, Rosenborg. - The long awaited, and long sold out top-of-the-table clash in Molde ended with the champions once again coming out on top. The game was a hugely entertaining affair, and it was incredible that neither side scored a goal in the first half. Especially the home side missed some excellent opportunities. Gradually, though, in the second half RBK took over, and Strand gave them the lead with a well-placed header from a cross by Bergdølmo. However, the marking by Molde was poor. After that, the home side had to attack even more, as they needed a win to keep their championship hopes alive. They had somehow run out of steam, though, and were unable to break through the RBK defence. Instead, they opened up at the back, and substitute Dahlum decided the encounter with a clinical finish as he rounded the goalkeeper after an excellent throughball by Hernes. The outcome of the game probably decided the championship. As with all three remaining matches at Lerkendal, and a five points lead, RBK must surely be strong favourites for another league title, their seventh in a row. But cudos to Molde for an excellent season in which they pressed team from Trondheim all the way.
