Bodø/Glimt - Skeid 4-2 (2-1)
Aspmyra
Att: 1910
1-0 Trond Fredrik Ludvigsen (9)
2-0 Bengt Sæternes (23)
2-1 Alexander Sveen (25)
2-2 Ole Martin Johansen (63)
3-2 Sæternes (73)
4-2 Ludvigsen (90)

- Skeid are relagated after just one season. Just as everybody expected
before the season. Still, a win in this game would have meant a place
in the play-off, and at 2-2 it was a possibility. But the home team
wanted to finish on a hig and two late goals gave B/G a deserved win.

Brann - Moss 1-0 (1-0)
Brann stadion
Att: 8406
1-0 Jan Ove Pedersen (pen. 9)
Yellow card: Johan P. Winsnes, Moss.

- Brann secured the bronze medals with a narrow win against Moss.
The third position was just reward for the team from Bergen after
a very good season, and on Saturday there's more chances of silverware
when they face Rosenborg in the cup final.

Molde - Lillestrøm 2-0 (1-0)
Molde stadion
Att: 8140
1-0 Andreas Lund (8)
2-0 André Schei Lindbæk (75)
Yellow card: Torjus Hansén, Lillestrøm, Petter Christian Singsaas,
Daniel Berg Hestad, Molde.

- In the direct fight for the silver medals, Molde deservedly got the upper
hand with a 2-0 win. Lund scored his 21st goal of the season, and
Schei Lindbæk scored his first league goal to settle the game.

Strømsgodset - Tromsø 3-6 (3-1)
Marienlyst
Att: 3211
1-0 Jostein Flo (pen. 27)
1-1 Thomas Hafstad (32)
2-1 Lasse Olsen (42)
3-1 Olsen (45)
3-2 Rune Lange (68)
3-3 Morten Kræmer (74)
3-4 Hafstad (80)
3-5 Rune Lange (82)
3-6 Tryggvi Gudmundsson (pen. 88)
Yellow card: Morten Kræmer, Rune Lange, Tromsø.
Red card: Svein Morten Johansen (4), Tromsø.

- At half time, SIF looked to have secured yet another season in the
premier division. However, after the break the home team collapsed.
10-men Tromsø were allowed to score 5 goals and even miss 2 penalties
in the space of 2 minutes! Quite incredibe. Top scorer Lange missed
both penalties, but still ended up as top scorer with 23 goals after
scoring twice. SIF now face Start in the play-off matches.

Vålerenga - Kongsvinger 2-1 (1-1)
Bislett stadion
Att: 6816
0-1 Andreas Alm (4)
1-1 Pascal Simpson (28)
2-1 Aki Riihilahti (66)
Yellow card: Knut Henry Haraldsen, Mamadou Diallo, Vålerenga,
Andreas Alm, Kongsvinger.

- Vålerenga managed to keep their place in the premier division. But
it started badly when already relegated KIL took an early lead. However,
the Oslo team responded and forced home the equlizer before half time,
and should have scored more. After the break, though, Finnish midfielder
Riihilahti scored the winner, and Klanen could start celebrating. Still,
narrowly avoiding relegation ought to not have been their goal this
season, and a major shake-up of both players and off the field personell
is needed before 2000. Long-term thinking must be implemented in
every part of the club. KIL, on the other hand, look well set for a
quick return, with several promising youngsters, after their 17 year
stay in the Norwegian top division.

Rosenborg - Odd Grenland 3-5 (0-3)
Lerkendal
Att: 15 807
0-1 Morten Fevang (5)
0-2 Frode Johnsen (27)
0-3 Tor Gunnar Johnsen (40)
1-3 John Carew (53)
2-3 Bent Inge Johnsen (62)
3-3 Tore André Dahlum (77)
3-4 Bård Borgersen (88)
3-5 Espen Hoff (90)
Yellow card: Bård Borgersen, Odd Grenland.

- RBK obviously had a big hangover from their excellent win in Dortmund
in midweek, and played their worst game of the season. Odd took a
three goal lead in the first half and exploited the home team's
disinterest in the game. After the break RBK pulled back to level
terms, but two late goals gave the visitors a deserved win. A lesson
learnt for RBK, who must play much better on Wednesday to beat
Boavista. Odd, the newcomer, has had an excellent season, playing
fluid, attacking football, and should get even better next year.

Viking - Stabæk 2-3 (1-3)
Stavanger stadion
Att: 4850
1-0 Morten Berre (8)
1-1 Petter Belsvik (16)
1-2 Belsvik (pen. 26)
1-3 David Hanssen (39)
2-3 Rikhardur Dadason (56)

- Stabæk secured 5th position and a place in the Intertoto Cup with
a well taken win. Belsvik scored two more goals, and now have 143
goals in the Norwegian top division, only 15 behind legend Odd Iversen's
record. Viking had most of the posession, but played woefully in
defense with a couple of players in unfamiliar positions. They have
to play better to advance in the UEFA cup against Bremen, despite
a very encouraging away draw in the first leg.
