Bodø/Glimt - Sogndal 1-1 (0-0). Aspmyra stadion Att: 4.446 1-0 Ørjan Berg (63) 1-1 Kai Erik Moen (71) Yellow card: Stig Nord, Tom Freddy Aune, Sogndal. - B/G escaped as winners of the only game that really mattered in the last round, despite only drawing Sogndal. However, the draw survived premier division football in Bodø and sent the visitiors down to the first. As expected the game turned out to be very dramatic. The weather was atrocious, with 2-3 degrees (Celsius), snow and a gale force wind. However, the field was green due to heating cables. The first half belonged to the home side, with both Johnsen and Staurvik hitting the post, but despite these and other opportunities, they didn't manage to score. In the second half, Sogndal moved up their play, but it was B/G who took the lead when a cross from Runar Berg was turned in by brother Ørjan. The replay however, showed that it was more of an own goal by defender Kai Erik Moen. He was to get even 8 minutes later when he headed in the Sogndal equalizer. From then on, the match exploded. Both sides attacked furiously, and other goals seemed inevitable. However, the ball stayed out of both nets. In overtime Sogndal had a corner, which resulted in a goal mouth scramble where the ball was saved on the line by a long B/G foot, when several Sogndal players were already cheering for the all important second goal, which would have saved them. However, it wasn't to be (and to my pleasure I must confess, as I'll rather watch B/G than SIL any day). Hamarkameratene - Kongsvinger 4-0 (1-0) Briskeby gressbane Att: 2.128 1-0 Ronny Pedersen (3) 2-0 Jon Eirik Ødegaard (49) 3-0 Tom Henning Hovi (55) 4-0 Vegard Skogheim (84) Yellow card: Jon Eirik Ødegaard, Hamarkameratene, Vidar Riseth, Erik Holtan, Kongsvinger. - The Hedmark-derby was convincingly won by Ham-kam. Both these clubs are likely to be in big trouble next season, as 17 of their players will probably either stop or go to other clubs. In fact KIL, must build a completely new side as they will lose almost their whole first 11! Rosenborg - Strømsgodset 3-1 (0-0) Lerkendal stadion Att: 3.981 1-0 Karl Petter Løken (55) 2-0 Roar Strand (67) 3-0 Løken (69) 3-1 Hans Erik Ødegaard (84) Yellow card: Per Ivar Fornæs, Strømsgodset. - RBK finished the season with the predicted home win against bottom club SIF. After the game, they were presented with the gold medals. The game was played with snow in the air, even though the field was green. Tromsø - Lillestrøm 2-0 (1-0) Alfheim stadion Att: 2.353 1-0 Sigurd Rushfeldt (pen. 24) 2-0 Svein Morten Johansen (69) Yellow card: Per Egil Swift, Tromsø, Thomas Berntsen, Torgeir Bjarmann, André Bergdølmo, Lillestrøm. - Silver medalists LSK are not used to play football in snow, TIL are. That's probably the reason why the visitors lost. By halftime the field was completely white, and more suitable for cross-country skiing than football. That didn't bother Rushfeldt though, who finished the season in great style by running through, over and between the LSK-defenders all the time. VIF Fotball - Start 0-2 (0-1) Ullevaal stadion Att: 5.211 0-1 Petter Belsvik (19) 0-2 Belsvik (46) Yellow card: Tore Løvland, Claus Eftevaag, Tommy Svindal Larsen, Start, Svein Erik Pettersen, VIF. - Petter Belsvik became almost the top scorer after getting the two goals at Ullevaal. One more, and he would have shared the title with Brattbakk. The game was very open, and a more correct result would have been 3-6. A strange incident was that the home supporters were cheering loudly when Erik Mykland of Start was outmanouvering some of their own players! The reason: Mykland is desperately wanted by VIF for the next season. Viking - Brann 3-2 (1-0) Stavanger stadion Att: 8.406 1-0 Gunnar Aase (35) 1-1 Frank Strandli (pen. 55) 2-1 Rune Medalen (55) 2-2 Trond Egil Soltvedt (62) 3-2 Kenneth Storvik (76) Yellow card: Rune Medalen, Odd Arne Espevold, Gøran Sørloth, Viking, Geir Hasund, Magnus Johansson, Trond Egil Soltvedt, Geirmund Brendesæther, Brann. - Viking got the bronze medals by beating Brann in front of a good crowd in Stavanger. This was their 13th match without defeat, and if they can continue that form next year, even RBK could be in trouble.
