Norwegian cup semifinals, second leg: ------------------------------------- Rosenborg - Molde (D1) 2-2 (1-1), agg: 3-4. Lerkendal stadion Att: 10 845 0-1 Ole Bjørn Sundgot (20) 1-1 Harald Brattbakk (31) 1-2 Kjetil Rekdal (66) 2-2 Kjell Roar Kaasa (85) Yellow card: Petter Rudi, Molde. (thereby missing the final) - A huge surprise in Trondheim, where underdogs Molde knocked out favoutites RBK. After the game the RBK manager Eggen called the Molde-way of playing for 'a**-football', which caused some controversy. I don't agree with him (the game was live on TV). When you go to Lerkendal with a one goal lead you don't attack wildly, but play for a result. That's exactly what Molde did. Kept many men behind the ball and worked tirelessly. They even managed to score two goals so the tactic couldn't have been that bad :-) Guess Eggen is just a bad loser. Man-of-the-match was Kjetil Rekdal who decided the game with a long-range effort and else worked like a horse in midfield. Moss (D1) - Lyn (D1) 2-1 (1-1), agg: 2-3. Melløs stadion Att: 2455 0-1 Stein Amundsen (16) 1-1 Bård Erik Olsen (33) 2-1 Rune Tangen (pen. 55) Yellow card: Bård Erik Olsen, Stuart McManus, Moss. - Yeeeessss! We're in the cup final. With a two-goal lead the odds were good, and it didn't get any worse when skipper Amundsen gave Lyn the lead. Now, the home side had to score four times to reach the final. An overwhelming task indeed, though they managed to score twice, and thus winning the game.
