Haugesund - Tromsø 1-1 (1-1) Att: 5264 0-1 Ole Martin Årst (2) 1-1 Jørgen Hammersland (9) Yellow card: Ole Martin Årst, Stein Berg Johansen, Tromsø. - A well deserved point for Haugesund in their debut in the premier division. In fact the home side could easily have won, if they hadn't squandered too many chances. Tromsø were a major disappointment. Lyn - Kongsvinger 1-2 (1-0) Att: 2715 1-0 Atle Maurud (7) 1-1 Trym Bergman (71) 1-2 Arnfinn Engerbakk (72) Yellow card: Morten Wivestad, Hassan El-Fakiri, Atle Maurud, Lyn, Erik Noppi, Arnfinn Engerbakk, Kongsvinger. - Lyn got off to a perfect start when Maurud gave them the lead early in the first half. But KIL came back strongly with the wind in their backs and dominated for the rest of the half, though without scoring. In the second half Lyn hit the woodwork twice in the first five minutes, and should really have extended their lead. Instead, KIL once more took over and the introduction of Ernstsson caused a lot of problems for the Lyn defence in the air. The Swede was the man behind both goals, as his headers lead the way for Bergman and Engerbakk to score the winners. In all a draw would have been a fair result, but an away win wasn't unjustified either, as KIL were clearly the dominating side at times. Rosenborg - Brann 1-1 (1-0) Att: 12 076 1-0 Vegard Heggem (10) 1-1 Mons Ivar Mjelde (pen. 54) Yellow card: Jan Ove Pedersen, Brann. - The two Norwegian Ecup participants shared the points in a not so good game at Lerkendal. The home side had the better of the chances, but Brann managed to keep them away with resolute defending. The wintery conditions made the ground slippery and good play was difficult. Strømsgodset - Skeid 4-0 (1-0) Att: 5970 1-0 Ousman Nyan (45) 2-0 Jostein Flo (50) 3-0 Flo (55) 4-0 Flo (84) Yellow card: Jonas Wirmola, Morten Berre, Skeid. Red card: Jonas Wirmola, Skeid. - Skeid continued where they let off last season and were heavily beaten by a home side whose two new wide midfield players Olsen and Hagen were dominant. Man of the match though, was former international Jostein Flo who scored a hattrick. Viking - Sogndal 2-2 (1-1) Att: 8023 1-0 Gunnar Aase (12) 1-1 Jarle Flo (26) 2-1 Bjarte L. Aarsheim (61) 2-2 Ole Hjelmhaug (63) Yellow card: Helge Bjønsaas, Viking, Eirik Bakke, Bent Apneseth, Sogndal. Red card: Oddgeir Hov (1), Sogndal. - The visitors had a nightmare start when goalkeeper Hov was sent off in the first minute. For the rest of the game the home time was on the attack but poor finishing and unforgiveable defending allowed the newcomers to take a point. In fact, Sogndal could easily had won but Hjelmhaug hit a penalty kick at the post late in the second half. A black start for Viking, but an encouraging one for Sogndal. Stabæk - Lillestrøm 4-1 (2-1) Att: 4310 1-0 Petter Belsvik (1) 1-1 Tom Gulbrandsen (32) 2-1 Belsvik (37) 3-1 Arild Stavrum (54) 4-1 Stavrum (84) Yellow card: Christer Basma, Stabæk. - Two of the title favourites met in a televised game on Saturday. The home side were by far the more effective side and although the visitors had lot of posession, Stabæk ran out as easy winners. Especially their striking partnership of Belsvik and Stavrum was in form scoring all four goals.
