Kongsvinger - Kjelsås 2-2 (1-2) Gjemselund stadion Att: 2016 0-1 Stian Theting (5) 0-2 Ole Petter Skonnord (10) 1-2 Trym Bergman (pen. 30) 2-2 Marius Gullerud (76) Yellow card: Arne Jensen, Kjelsås. - A very surprising result in the first play-off game. Big underdog Kjelsås, with their extreme Drillo kind of football took a shock two-goal lead, and had an excellent chance for a third. However, gradually Kongsvinger sensed the reality and managed to both reduce the lead before half-time and then equalize 15 minutes from time. Not very undeserved based on a total domination in the second half, but Kjelsås are still well-placed for a shock promotion before the second leg. ***** Kjelsås - Kongsvinger 0-5 (0-1), agg. 2-7 Grefsen stadion Att: 3293 0-1 Trym Bergman (7) 0-2 Andreas Alm (49) 0-3 Bergman (59) 0-4 Eirik Dybendal (78) 0-5 Harald Martin Solberg (87) Yellow card: Charles Berstad, Kongsvinger. - The fairytale story ended with a bang in northern Oslo on Saturday, as Kongsvinger trashed the home side 5-0 in the second play-off game, and thus maintained their premier division status. Over 3000 fans surrounded the small Grefsen stadion (a new stadium record), and they witnessed an early, controversial away goal which determined much of the pattern of the game. Bergman scored with a strong suspicion of handball. After the goal the home side missed several good chances to equalize, and at halftime Kongsvinger could count themselves lucky to be in front. After the break though, it was a different story. Once more the visitors scored an early goal, and then another one ten minutes later, and that was it. Kjelsås simlply gave up, and Kongsvinger could easily score a couple of more goals and also hit the post on a couple of occations. Over the two legs the premier division side were the better team, but all credit to Kjelsås for getting to the play-off in the first place.
