- Rosenborg dominated the first half, and deservedly took the
  lead from Brattbakk's neat finish.  The speedy forward also
  hit the post twice.  After the break, the game changed completely.
  Now the home team attacked and scored three goals, at least two
  after horrific defending by Rosenborg.  A gift of a penalty gave
  the Norwegians a lifeline, and two minutes from time an incredible
  own goal gave them quite a good result to chance to the Champions
  League after the second leg.

- A very good performance by Rosenborg.  For the first time this 
  season they showed football worthy of Champions League.  Three
  excellent goals in the first half decided then outcome.  After
  the break the home team simply controlled the game and their progress
  into the Champions League for a record 7th consecutive time.  This year
  the Norwegians face Juventus of Italy, Porto of Portugal and Celtic of
  Scotland in what promises to be a tight group.
