- In the battle of Scandinavia Rosenborg took the upper hand after
  Brattbakk scored from a rebound.  A very entertaining game which
  could have had more goals from either side.  With an away goal in
  Denmark Brøndby are forced to score three goals to advance.

- Rosenborg qualify for their eight straight Champions League after
  also winning the second leg against Brøndby.  An all-important away
  goal gave the Norwegians a good start which they never surrended.  
  Big hero was Johnsen who scored the first two goals, and goal keeper
  Arason who made some important saves at 0-0.  His counterpart, Krogh,
  did not have such a good day and was at fault for at least two of the 
  RBK goals.  Towards the end Brøndby scored two consolation goals and 
  could have had more as Rosenborg went to sleep.
